OBJECTIVES

The course objectives are:

To provide the participants with a theoretical frame work on indications for intra-arterial radiation and gene therapy as well as an overview of developments expected to enter the clinical field in the coming years as: cell therapy and gene therapy for myogenesis and angiogenesis as well as tissue engineering. Further, an update on new cardiovascular imaging modalities will be provided with the focus on progression and regression of atherosclerosis and on the vascular endothelium.
